Lost Pets Page
A central posting area for lost pets has been needed for a long time.The use of this page is made freely available to anyone who wishes to post a lost pet. If you have a pet that you would like to post send the following information to sam@marionrhs.org or call or drop by the shelter and tell them you wish to post a lost pet on our site. Provide us with type of animal, breed if known, sex, app. age, color and description along with any distinguishing characteristics, also where the pet was lost and when. Photos help considerably, you may submit up to four. Invite your friends and family to check this page often for lost pets that they might see thru the day. The more people that check, the better chance of a recovery.

                                 Ramses
Ramses is a 5-6 month old male. He was lost from his owner who lives on Central St in Marion. He has been lost since around the first of October. He would have been lost in the vicinity of Vicksburg St. , Lear St. to Russell St. He has big ears and long legs  and has been neutered. If anyone has any information please contact me at sam@marionrhs.org.

We lost a cat in September 2007 East of Marion.  Lottie.  Female  calico, microchipped, front claws declawed, neutered.  She had  a brown area in the center of her face.  She had to be an  outdoor cat because she would not litter train.  She became a  favorite with the horses and other outdoor cats.  Her best  friend is pining for her.  If anyone has seen her, we would  love to have her back.  Thanks. Lost in Herrin in early March around Herrin High School/ Maytag area. Male dark tabby with golden eyes and white on chin. Has injured tail and claw on front left paw that won't retract correctly. Answers to the name Captain Jack. Contact sam@marionrhs.org
Lost in Marion around 1000 block on N.Garfield st on 3/21. Male orange tabby cat named Lester 4 years old and neutered. Contact  sam@marionrhs.org
Lost in 500 Block of East Thorn in Marion around  4/22/08. Black and white Tuxedo cat with white  moustache. Walks with a slight limp. Contact  sam@marionrhs.org.

Missing; Papa, 1 1/2 year old miniature white male poodle, weighs about 4 lbs. Groomed except legs are furry. Missing from back yard in West Frankfort/Marion area (Rt 37). Saturday, Dec 1, 2007.  He was wearing a pink furry collar.  Reward for his return.  Please contact  The Brown Family at 618-922-6404
Lost black/white Border Collie.  He was adopted from the Grayson County Animal Shelter in Leitchfield, KY to someone in Texico, IL.  They picked him up returning home December 15th.  He went missing the same day.  DreamWeaver sings when you play the harmonica.  He will shake with either paw.  He is three years old and was neutered just prior to being adopted.  He also had an ear infection. Lost on 2/9/2008 at Miles Trail Road in Crab Orchard Illinois. Female Chocolate Lab app. 2-3 years old. She was wearing an orange/reflective collar and may be running with a male yellow lab. contact sam@marionrhs.org

Lost in Carterville/ Crainville area on 3/05/2008. Small brown female Cocker Spaniel named "Anna". Just had puppies, needs hair cut, no collar. Contact sam@marionrhs.org
Lost in New Dennison.  On the night of 3/24/2008 someone let this dog out of its fenced area. It is a male Australian Shepherd, liver and white in color, lots of freckles. He is very friendly and answers to the name of "Fred".  Contact sam@marionrhs.org

Lost 4/24 on Saluki Drive west side of Marion. Six year old, off-white, female Chihuahua, four pounds.  Sweet and friendly.  Wearing hot pink/light pink sweater  and purple collar with rhinestones. Contact sam@marionrhs.org

My dog, Sombers has been missing since around May 13th, 2008. She was last seen in our yard on Pileated Lane, Carbondale, IL. That's behind Crab Orchard Spillway off of Falcon/Dogwood. I contacted the city shelters and have been unable to find her. She's about 30 pounds, a terrier mix, spayed female. Contact sam@marionrhs.org

Dutchie, missing since April 9th, 2008 from Dumaroc Road in Desoto, Illinois. Two year old female, white with Brindle/Blue Mearle Patches. She has one blue eye and one brown eye and a short tail. She was wearing a black collar with a name tag and rabies tag which may now be lost. She has been spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises. Dutchie is missed by her little eight year old girl friend. If you have any information please contact (618) 559-8146.

Two dogs lost on 6/23/08 in NE Marion on Rock st near Spillertown. One is a pregnant female adult black lab named Molly who is about ready to have pups. The other was a nine month old yellow lab mix named Bailey. Call 790-3619.
 Lost in Marion near Marion Junior High School on 07/03/08. Good sized clown face black and white Pit Bull male. He has a gentle, sweet personality and is very approachable. If seen or found, call 618-964-9955.
